Since you mentioned Syracuse, I was not a believer in Paul Pasqualone as a coach who could take Syracuse to a different level to the extent where he eventually got fired.
I was long gone at Syracuse hosting that show, but when Jim Boeheim, who I have a great relationship with, went on a rant, he's like,
You don't know where this all started?
It all started on sports radio with Adam Schein.
He was the first one to say, fire the coach.
Because Syracuse was one of those markets where everything, everyone was happy.
It was, you know, everything's great.
Everything's positive.
Go Orange.
And literally, I started in June of 1999, and it's here's this young, loudmouth, recent grad, New Yorker, downstater, as they would say in Syracuse.
And, you know, it was in a lot of ways a breath of fresh air for X number of people there that it wasn't just go arch.

There's going to be positives, there's going to be negatives, and there's an art to it in holding an audience.
And, you know, I think if you ask for a first take, I think not believing in Paul Pasqualone...
You know, it's funny, behind me, I have an article that Donna DeToda wrote about me in 1999, Born to Talk.
And it was a big deal, a Labor Day weekend paper.
And that was one of the things that she wrote about.
