I fan at the time.
Had four phone lines.
And it was like right out of central casting for like four WFAN legends, Doris and Rego Park, Jerome in Manhattan.
None of them wanted to talk about the NCAA tournament or who's going to be in the field of then 64.
But like just seeing that, I was like, wow, this is great.
And then Mark Chertoff, the old program director,
You know, and the rumor was always, and it was fact, that he was always up at four in the morning and always listening.
And he listened to everything.
But really from like four to six, the show was one to six in the morning.
And he called me, called the newsroom at six in the morning and said,
Phenomenal show.
You did a great job.
Would love to have you back.
And that was surreal.
I mean, my mom and dad stayed up for, my brother, all my friends, my home friends, my Syracuse friends, my girlfriend, who's now my wife.
I mean, it was, I'll never forget because everyone was, you know, my guy Pete Thamel from ESPN, who was a close friend from Syracuse.
I remember he said he left the bar with my buddy Lou and they went into an Andrew Catalan, another one of my best friends from college, who were all in a car listening to the monologue before they went back into the bar.
I was like, this is great.
So I'll never forget that show.
That was one of the coolest in-moment things that I've ever done.
