So I overhauled my diet.
I went from eating McDonald's every week to reading every ingredient label.
And the first thing I cut out was gluten, and that was the issue.
So it was a 360 pivot for me going from, like I said, fast food all the time to super clean ingredients.
But within three to four days, I could run normally again.
Wow.
And yeah, if you had been eating correctly.
Even in college, we would eat pasta the night before every game.
And then on the bus ride home, we would always eat pizza.
And I'm thinking, we are D1 athletes.
We should have nutritionists working with us.
And we should be fueling ourselves and eating the best of the best.
But that was not the case.
I know they've since changed a lot, especially at the University of Maine.
And there's a lot more dialed in nutrition there.
Right.
No.
And pasta and refined carbs were very encouraged.
Which personally now I survive mostly off of rice cakes and sweet potatoes when it comes to fruits and veggies when it comes to carbs.
But I don't eat anything over.
