it's not just one area that is declining and can be causing stress.

There's lots of social, economic and physical areas that can be adding to the increase in stress score.

There has been, with our national women's health strategy, an increased focus on women and health in the last couple of years.

So I hope that the increased focus will start to result in a lived experience for women.

But my greatest concern is that the activities won't impact

the outcomes for women.

So we are measuring currently activities, how many clinics are open, how many meetings are held, how many organisations are working together.

But is that actually translating to lived experiences for women?

And that's really what we need to be measuring.

I think we need to continue to examine the factors that are driving that, whether it is that women are not seeking assistance or whether that women are being dismissed when they do come up with physical pain.

I think we definitely need to give it some more time.

And the research up until 2024 has shown that the dial has not yet moved.

And the hope is that over the next few years, as we continue to gather more data, now that we have more of a focus on pain currently, is that we will see a shift for women.

definitely one of those areas.

I think when women don't feel safe in their own communities, it does impact them also going to seek, you know, care and treatment and services.

And I have to say that I'm one of those women who thinks twice about walking alone at night in her community.

And I have made decisions of possibly not attending events and, you know,

I guess, living life a little bit differently based on having to be somewhere alone at night.

So I think this is a really important factor.

And the interesting part too was that we found that Australia had the largest disparity between men and women and their feelings on safety.
