That's true.
I mean, the text says basically their wide mouths were the only thing that showed a response.
Their eyes couldn't be seen at all unless you were up close because they were black in color.
So the people couldn't be seen.
This is an interesting thing.
I mean, it sounds to me like he's saying not just the iris is black, but the entire cornea is black.
Now, that's obviously not a thing in the primary world.
In fact, even black-colored irises are not a thing.
If it looks like somebody has black eyes, they just have super dark brown eyes due to a higher concentration of melanin in the iris.
But it's never a black iris.
No such thing actually exists, let alone a black cornea.
But can you imagine not being able to see the pupil or where they're looking because their entire eye is black?
That's creepy.
Terrifying.
And what about this?
I don't know if it's a power, but this sort of ability of theirs that their eyes glow red when they get angry.
So actually, maybe they'd be easier to beat in poker after all.
They're not going to be able to bluff that they got nothing.
They're going to be all glowy red.
