I get it.

I get how hard that is.

And I'm just really grateful that they've been able to have the conversations and have them from a place of love.

Man, gosh.

And in a few years, like y'all are going to have such a new normal.

Yes.

And then like once it kind of levels out, then it's like, OK, you're going to be in a new normal.

And you did that.

You did that for yourself and your family.

I think it's important to realize, too, for anybody out there that's like, oh, my God.

I feel so responsible for my parents' happiness or for my siblings' happiness or whoever it is, my partner's happiness.

One thing that my therapist told me was like, you're never going to be responsible for their happiness or their unhappiness.

That's never going to be, you can't take credit for it and you can't blame yourself for it.

That is 100% their thing.

And if you spend your whole life trying to earn somebody's happiness, this is one thing she told me.

She was like,

It's kind of a morbid thought, but it really like put things in perspective.

It was like, if you spend your whole life trying to make your mother happy, you're going to bury your happiness with her.

And I was like, like the idea that you, you can't ever make somebody fully happy.

You're never going to be able to do that.
