I've been living in Santa Clara for about six years now and living in the Bay for about 30.

And quite frankly, I'm disappointed with the flaccid response I've seen tonight.

Honestly, I was shocked when I heard that you guys were trying to sweep any action against ICE under the rug.

And if it weren't for Council Member Park, we wouldn't have come out last week and pressured you guys to actually get off your asses and do something.

Mayor Gilmour, you weren't even there.

Even what we're talking about right now is not even enough to cover it We've talked about how law enforcement can't even be bothered to send a representative here today to talk about this and I Had family

hate crime out of this county.

They had to flee to Texas because the county wouldn't do anything to protect them from their neighbors who called them Colombian N-words and would threaten them with violence and would call me the same and threaten me the same.

And that was apathy from this local government, not the city here, Sunnyvale.

And that was 23, 24.

That was before this overt fascist aggression we're seeing right now.

So not only do we need to limit federal access to our public properties, we need to have a commitment that law enforcement is going to protect our citizens, not just for protesting, but when they're living their lives here.

I mean, people have said 44% of people here are prime targets.
