So that that does make sense to me and as as you said
We can take the example of of other types of content and how that affects other people.
But what I found very interesting and I had n I had no idea is
What you were referring as agency.
So if I am doom scrolling for an hour and I have no agency uh towards the time that I want to spend on Instagram, but if I am working on a PowerPoint presentation that is very important at work and I know that I need to work on that presentation for an hour, I have agency over that activity.
Why is that agency important to us from a health or mental health perspective?
How long?
using tech or particularly social media, is it too long?
And then it becomes overly negative towards our own health.
And then
I'm just I'm just struggling to have a healthy relationship with technology for the following reasons, particularly with social media.
So I'm gonna give you a slightly different analogy which I think it it would then help to make sense with the technology example.
So if I wanna if I wanna lose weight, I try to stay away from sugar and then
It is now evident and there's tons of evidence that sugar is addictive.
So the more sugar you eat, the more your body's going to crave it.
So the easiest way for me to not eat sugar is not is to not even eat a little bit.
It's like to completely cut it out my my diet and and not eat it for prolonged periods of time.
Then if I do the same with social media.
So for example, if if as as you were mentioning, I wanna take my mind off for half an hour because I've had a very stressful day, maybe that works for that particular moment, but then my my brain is going to ask me for that moment again tomorrow.
And then maybe it's not thirty minutes, it's thirty five minutes.
