Not to keep it on Kachuk, but I think it has to be Steve Sayles.
You look at where this team is right now, they're in a contention window.
They have Tim Stutz, Jake Sanderson signed long-term, but Batherson's up after a year, Zub's up after next year, Shabbat's up on the same year in two years like Kachuk.
So their contention window is right now.
They're a small market team.
They're likely not going to spend to the cap as it rises.
so next year should be their all-in year but now you have everything around kachuk swirling and if you're steve sales like i asked him i'm like how much are you going to have a discussion with brady about his future he's like well i'm not going to have that discussion we don't need to now do i believe him uh probably not but um at the same time you know
Everything that happens around Kachuk affects the future for this team.
In my opinion, they cannot go into it like Mitch Marner.
He cannot walk and leave for nothing.
That will just set the team back forever.
So you need to know where his head is at.

you have to show me that you're a good team.
And then maybe I sign a two, three year contract extension because I believe in this team.
But I think Steyos has dealt a really tough hand because, you know, they don't have a lot of draft picks.
