It's a really contested term.
In layman's terms, I would sort of think of it as a breakthrough in technology that is a sort of general thinking machine, the machine that can do many, many different tasks and do it at a human level or better.
How do we get there?
There is a moment, I think, that is worth looking out for, and that is called RSI or recursive self-improvement.
What does that mean?
It means that you train an AI to train itself.
You can train an artificial intelligence to make itself better, when it can self-improve, then you get this sort of intelligence explosion, right?
You it it starts becoming a cumulative training pattern.
That is, I think, a useful way to think about AGI.
And actually, it has a really interesting set of consequences for how I think the US and China might be thinking about this.
Imagine that you are waiting on this four, fifth.
Industrial revolution that AI will bring.
For that for that to happen, you need two things.
You need the intelligence explosion.
