Because it's not about the dishes.
She's not saying you didn't do the dishes.
She's saying, I feel like you don't pull your weight around the house and you don't listen to me and I don't feel heard.
Now this is very sort of like self-helpy type stuff.
You know, you sit on podcasts like this and you sort of go like, you know, and like really you need to like listen to your, but like, I think very specifically you
We are literally becoming convinced that we know why we are acting and behaving in particular ways when we're not because our left brain is rationalizing things for us.
So just take a step back.
Think a bit more intuitively about what's going on in a very sort of non-rational, abstracted kind of way.
Don't try to think about this individual case and go, okay, let's trace the logic.
Just step back and feel for a minute.
