Also, I'd like to thank the Cultural Division under Phil Danlop because of the work that he's doing getting the grants to where they need to go.

A lot of the events that we're participating in over the Reagan month period and Black History, they have been instrumental in giving matching grants for those, so we're appreciative of that.

Community Resource Fair in Miramar under Vice Mayor Yvette Coburn was a success.

Staff visited that.

And the Visit Lauderdale Food and Wine Festival was another hit this year.

I attended the Grand Tasting and staff went to the Barbecue Beach event, a very good event, and Stacey Ritter needs to be commended on

making sure that we had quite a bit of visibility there.

Obviously the name in itself says visit Lauderdale Food and Wine Festival.

Proud days we talked about.

I'd like to thank Marty Cassini.

It's not easy being able to set up these meetings, but he did set up quite a few for me.

And then, obviously, I was only there for a day and a half.

So maybe more time would have afforded me to meet more people.

And finally, again, hosted by Commissioner Eddie Edwards and Vice Mayor Coburn, City of Miramar Best of Jamaica Awards and Jamaicans.com founder Xavier Murphy just recognized a lot of Jamaican businesses that are doing well in the diaspora and around.

So thanks again, and I look forward to seeing many of you at our Black History events and our Reggae Month events.

able, this commission, to give a proclamation to our dear friend and colleague, Commissioner Hazel Rogers.

And what I'm reading here is just a snapshot of all that she's done over the last, she's told me, 30 years consecutively in public service.
