All right, so whereas Broward County Commissioner Hazel P. Rogers has devoted more than three decades to public service and civic leadership with a distinguished record of advocacy, representation, and community empowerment, that has made a profound impact across Lauderdale Lakes and throughout Broward County.

And whereas Commissioner Rogers began her public leadership journey in 1996 when she was elected to the Lauderdale Lake City Commission, serving as the only woman on the seven-member commission, and later as mayor of Lauderdale Lakes, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to responsive local government and community-driven solutions.

And whereas throughout her career, Commissioner Rogers has been recognized for her leadership and impact through numerous honors, including awards from the Florida Association of Counties, the Florida League of Cities, the Jamaican American Bar Association, and the Government of Jamaica's Order of Distinction Commander Class, reflecting the significance of her contributions to public service.

And whereas in recognition for her decades of distinguished public service and lasting contributions to the city of Lauderdale Lakes, the city has officially renamed one of its municipal facilities as the Hazel P. Rogers Multipurpose Center, a community hub that serves as a gathering place for civic engagement, educational programming, and community events.

And whereas the renaming of the Hazel P. Rogers Multipurpose Center stands as a permanent tribute to her leadership, legacy, unwavering dedication to public service, ensuring that her impact on the community will be remembered and honored for generations to come.

Now, therefore, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissions of Broward County, Florida, that the board hereby designates January 2020

January 22, 2026, as Commissioner Hazel P. Rogers Appreciation Day in Broward County, and recognizes Hazel P. Rogers Multipurpose Center as a lasting symbol of appreciation for Rogers' distinguished career, notable accomplishments, and enduring legacy of service to the residents of Lauderdale Lakes and Broward County.

Maybe that's something that the auditor could answer, but it was done previously, before our time, maybe before your time, when the commissions had P-cards.

So maybe they could look back as to what they did then, and in other municipalities, what they do, and come up with an answer.

My initial thought process is that there should be two options.

Whether you want to use your own credit card for purchases when you go overseas, when you're booking hotels, airline tickets, things of that nature.

A lot of times you have to show your P-card, especially at a hotel.

So in order to not have to use my personal card and commingle the county purchases with my own, I would prefer to use a separate card.

The language and how it was done and set up, I didn't get into the minutiae of that.

That is staff and the attorneys.
