But I was just covering the Champions League, Women's Champions League final in Oslo.
And that was the first time I had been back to Scandinavia, I think, in four years.
No.
It was a three-day kind of whirlwind.
How was that jet lag?
I always knew I wanted to stay in the sport and I wanted to storytell.
I didn't think broadcasting, I didn't know that much about it.
Again, the coverage now of women's sports is so different than it was even three years ago.
And now, especially with the NWSL, there's so many networks covering it, amazing former players, amazing commentators, producers who were involved in this, and it's so important.
But I guess I didn't really see myself doing that.
I thought as a player,
yes i was a leader i was a captain but i saw myself as very much a soldier tell me what to do i'll do it and i'll get everyone else to do it as well with a smile but i didn't see myself as a tactician as someone who understood the game plan that well so i didn't think i would be able to analyze the game whether that was in studio or commentate and so i love podcasting i love being with people i love people but when i retired again we don't make enough money to just
sit on the couch for even a week.
So I said yes to everything and I tried everything and I'm so glad I did.
I have amazing support behind me and just encouraged me to push myself and I loved it and I learned a lot about myself and I do love breaking things down and I love calling games, which I never thought I would do.
But I love talking, if you haven't noticed already.
