So my first experiment and the first five years of Bags of Taste was based around doing cooking lessons, but providing the ingredients for people to take home again afterwards.

And that taught us so much about what works, really works and what doesn't.

And we also saw that people that did buy those bags of ingredients went home, cooked and had really exceptional outcomes.

And those people that didn't buy the bags of ingredients and said, oh, I've got all that at home.

I'm going to do it at home.

They just didn't go home and cook, right?

And we saw that time and time again.

So, yeah, that's what led us to come to the conclusion that it's actually the bags that work.

It's the bags going home that makes the difference.

And it's those people cooking at home that makes the fundamental difference to their behavior change.

And that's why we do what we do today, which is just the bags, really, along with a cooking course attached.

We have to give those bags today for free.

So we need to make sure that they're cooked and they don't just go to waste, which it would be quite common.

At the beginning, it was a really common outcome.

So what we did was we paired them with essentially a tutor, a kind of cooking buddy, if you want to call them.

And these are volunteers, mostly nutritionists, food teachers, although ordinary people do volunteer as well.

And so, yeah, they're supported throughout the course.

We have a very clear syllabus.

They have skills to go through.

And it's not just about the food, right?
