I don't feel like you're present.

I don't feel like you miss me when I'm not here.

I don't feel seen.

So all of these things like blaming the phone social media, like blaming um being late and uh for uh you know, it's all signals around respect, care, closeness, um, recognition and power and control.

So they're always what's underneath the rags.

They're generally the themes.

And if you can look to see what's really being said here, uh underneath the attack.

Very often you can come much more from a feelings based and you can understand, okay, I see it.

I see why you would feel that way.

It wasn't my intention, but I see how that would make you feel.

Yeah, this is a whole different way of of of relating to each other.

It's like a new vocabulary.

And at the beginning, when you're being asked maybe to take a timeout in the middle of a row rather than shouting and screaming at each other, when you're being asked to come from the eye and speak about your feelings rather than criticizing and blaming, it feels so alien and it feels very difficult and feels very clunky.

But I know from my own experience, um, my ability to repair is

So like every couple rouse and they're in this constant cycle of harmony, disharmony and repair.

And the repair part certainly was probably the biggest learning for me.

In that I didn't need to go into the freezer for three days before I came back out again to thaw.

Like that's horrendous for the person that I'm opposite, for me to just remove myself emotionally, not physically, to be present, but not present at all.

So that ability to know maybe the impact of where you go in a row and the impact that what that has on your other half.

I'm using the word other half.
