Now s I I do know some people working for the Department of Energy and they have said that podcast-host

uh in terms of the renewable energy they've been working on, that that may not be cut as much as you would think because of maybe kind of what you were referring to, a reframing instead of working on renewable energy, they're talking about working on podcast-host

cheap, abundant new energy sources. podcast-host

So I'm wondering whether that's the kind of reframing you're talking about. podcast-host

I'm not sure exactly how it would impact our sustainability work in Mountain View, but it's something I've been trying to figure out how to continue support for that particular issue. podcast-host

Well, I want to start off by saying I agree with our one public speaker on this uh section that these are not normal times. podcast-host

Um and I'm I'm not exactly sure how we uh how we address that within our city council's strategic priorities. podcast-host

Um I I would say I I guess I'm kind of agreeing with Councilmember Ramirez that podcast-host

Uh the the list of uh podcast-host

The list of um our state and legislative platform is pretty strong and in in particular, um podcast-host

The council has seven strategic priorities. podcast-host

I won't list all of them, but the ones under and our legislative priorities fall under those these categories. podcast-host

And the ones under community for all, uh, housing, culture, and uh multi-culture, I think are address some of those things, some of the things that we would want to do even podcast-host

in these not normal times in terms of our our um podcast-host

are lobbying statewide and federally, although I'm open to any suggestions other council members might have for um addressing these times in particular. podcast-host

Um but given that I think there those things are spoken to to some degree in our platform, the suggestions I have to add are um podcast-host

are uh like council member Ramirez said, relatively minor. podcast-host

One is lobbying for um train noise reduction and quiet zones, anything that would allow or enable that. podcast-host

I don't think I have much verbiage on that, but that that is it basically. podcast-host
