You know, they have an excitement to them at these rallies, and we see them with Donald Trump rallies, don't we, in the United States.
Think what you like about the politics, but there is a frisson there that does attract people to these parties.
Yeah, totally.
I mean, you know, some of the senior politicians in the AFD, people will queue for hours to meet them, to have their photographs taken with them.
They will drive from all corners of Germany to attend rallies in small rural towns.
And that is something that the CDU...
which is the main party in Germany, Friedrich Mozart's party, has failed to do.
They look as though they're very flat-footed in their politics.
Now, their politics might be far more sensible, it might be far more realistic, which I'm sure is what they would argue, but they are not attracting voters who are disaffected.
And the disaffected voters...
who, in previous elections, couldn't be bothered to vote because, you know, nobody's going to fix it for us, I'm fed up with politics.
Well, they are now going back to the ballot boxes, but they're going to the parties on the extreme, on the far left and on the far right.
And as I say, it's quite easy when you're not in power and you've never properly been in power to promise the world
it's something completely different when you get into power.
So they can promise the world, they can promise to fix Germany's problems.
People believe them, but they've not yet been in power to prove whether or not their promises can be made into a reality.

Yeah, I think that that sums it up.
They haven't quite got the the total majority.
So we're gonna have to see how that plays out and um
you know, how they govern because they will look to govern despite not having that majority.
