Um they were doing a

a good job growing that small business locally and they wanted to scale it and grow and they originally said they wanted franchise and ironically I was the one that talked them out of franchising because when I looked at what they had, the systems and processes

Or in some cases the lack thereof, they didn't have the ability to be a franchise or and help people run their business.

So I recommended and gave 'em a plan, which is what they hired me to do.

to uh have a dealer model, you know, which um is a model I was very familiar with and it didn't require them to

fully support um the people their dealers.

But they could train them on how to do the installs, they could train 'em how to do a little bit of marketing, how to do a little bit of sales and get 'em out there and

That was the plan I presented him with and when I deployed for six months I gave 'em the plan and I came back and uh checked in with them.

And said, How's the plan?

They said, The plan's great.

And there's a little bit of a pause.

I said, We're just waiting for you to come back and implement the plan for us.

So the timing on that worked out really well 'cause I didn't have anything to do.

I just got back figuring out what was next.

So I joined, uh became a partner in the company, started growing their dealer model.

think we added about forty or fifty dealers our first year.

I'm myself and uh one of my consultant buddies, uh Doug Jensen, he's in Birmingham.

He started up a shelf conversions of Birmingham dealership.

I took over the Richmond market, uh the Shelf Conversions Richmond.
