Uh this item uh came to the school board with some options that would have allowed us to increase the the cost of development in Broward County. podcast-host

And the Broward County School Board decided to to not do that. podcast-host

They decided to freeze the rates. podcast-host

Um I think this is a very reasonable approach uh given uh how we are in Broward Scout schools with uh uh not an overcrowding problem, but podcast-host

But an underutilization problem. podcast-host

Uh so I believe this is a good government and I just wanted to say that uh I'm looking forward to hearing the vote on this item. podcast-host

um about the nature of agreements, particularly government to government agreements. podcast-host

Uh we already have uh relief on impact fees for certified affordable housing. podcast-host

Uh, Broward County School Board is very interested and actively is pursuing making those further uh uh reductions uh to certified affordable housing in the same way that Broward County Commission podcast-host

uh provides financial incentives to building certified uh affordable housing and that's a big word. podcast-host

Uh the idea that something would be affordable housing or workforce housing as you build it is one thing. podcast-host

It's totally different to say we're gonna set this aside for fifteen or thirty years and make sure that it remains affordable housing. podcast-host
