Mayor Ryan point out that our job is to say whether this conforms with the plan, but I'm still a human being.

And we have an affordable housing crisis in Broward County.

And and the future of our county is not gonna change if we continue uh to uh have policies and make decisions that aren't consistent with finding housing for the people who wanna live here.

And so I will vote for this today, but I'll also vote in the future for changing our plan so that we're far more aggressive uh about the crisis we're facing.

We're gonna end up with a Broward County of bazillionaires.

Living in very expensive homes.

And people from out of the county coming here to do work.

And that's not the Briar County I want.

So I appreciate you not uh asking them because it didn't require you to do it.

Uh but I hope that there are other uh uh municipalities, including yours in the future, that do above and beyond what the minimum requirement is, because this crisis is not going to go away.
