recognising, you know what, we're not going to go into this because I know where this is going to go.
So sometimes if you see someone coming at you and they're trying to pick at you, you're better off sometimes just going, do you know what, I just have to take something back in a minute and just leave.
But I also think it also depends on the couple.
So the couple getting married might be like, absolutely, we stay in the pub, no problem, see you afterwards.
Or another couple might be really upset because that might be the most important part of the day.
So everything's down to you knowing the couple.
And it's not only the small talk.
Sometimes people lose the run themselves with the questions they ask.
You know, it's like, you know, well, are you married?
And, you know, do you have a child?
And if you don't have it, people kind of or even family members can ask things that actually are really hurtful and sore for you.
So if you're not in a relationship or you don't have a child.
So I think it's about recognizing that people sometimes say things perhaps because they've had too much to drink already by the time they've even sat down.
And recognize that you're going to be there for a certain amount of time.
Okay.
And I think the biggest thing is to kind of try and calm your own nervous system down.
So if you hate small talk, and I think some people just despise it, because it just doesn't feel like a real connection, you know, like
lovely weather today and how you know just breathe and kind of just be kind of befriend your nervous system so imagine that you kind of have like someone there like who really would mind you like a sister or brother or your best friend and just kind of just calm a little bit hold an imaginary hand yeah because I think what happens is when you're there you're uncomfortable
And any level of uncomfortableness, we do feel it.
It's neuroception.
