parents lose faith i wouldn't say lose faith i mean i think we were definitely disappointed that nothing ever came for all those years but every detective that we had worked with they were all fantastic they were kind they were caring compassionate they did what they were able to do
I mean, you have to move forward for yourself.
You know, I did it for my family, my mom, my stepdad.
I do have other siblings.
When bad things happen, I remind myself that someone has it worse.
So that's always a good push.
It was exciting.
Then it was also worrisome because you're like, we don't know everything that they have on him.
So it's like, is that going to hold up or is this person going to be free?
And because of some small mishap and like now we know who it is and they're out there, are they going to come for us?
Like I always was afraid of like, is that really going to happen now?
You just see so many times where things happen and the wrong people happen.
Unfortunately, I let go.
Fast forward to speaking about trial.
It's like, is something going to happen then?
Is the jury going to find him not guilty?
And that's even more scary.
What was your kind of reaction when you saw his picture?
Disgusted.
Just seeing, you know, the size of him made the thoughts really go.
