I grew up on a lot of crime shows.
You know, that's how people get away with things.
We figured that from the get go, like even the detectives said, you know, it's most likely someone that's living a normal life.
The first court date we went to flying out there.
I was on the airplane before we took off.
I hopped on YouTube and I listened to the video and his voice was just about the same but you can tell the age difference and not trying to cover up the accent and I feel like
We all talk different to certain people at certain times.
So I feel like it was that type of thing.
He was trying to be showy, but I could still tell.
It was something, when I listened to that video, it triggered something enough that I started tearing up.
And that was on the flight down at the time.
What was it like to actually be in court with him that very first time?
It was just more angry.
I feel like every time we went to court, I was angry and clenching my fists and...
staring him down, waiting for him to turn around.
I wanted him to turn around so many times.
I believe he turned around one time, I think, to look for his wife and daughter.
