I'm also really interested to see how the Opportunity Party play in all of this, because they are probably the most organised they've ever been.

And they will change the maths of Parliament if they get across the line, because everyone's talking about three on each side.

Well, this creates a one in the middle who ruins the maths for those big parties.

So Winston Peters may no longer be kingmaker.

We've got a new queen or king in town.

But does that mean that ultimately they're going to have to play nicely with each other a little bit because they all need friends, don't they?

No one can go alone this year.

They do, yeah.

So that's the biggest thing, is they can snipe at each other and take potshots at each other as much as they like.

But at the end of it, they need to be able to form a government.

And they need to be able to form a government that is going to last three years.

Now, to many people's surprise, this current government looks like it'll probably get there.

And they've shown that they can, whether...

a second time round will be as successful, that might just play out through this campaign as to how nice they play with each other.

And we've already seen it with both Winston Peters and David Seymour kicking off already lobbing grenades across at each other.

So that is fascinating to see how well they get along and how they can then translate that into whatever happens next.

It's interesting because obviously Sir Keir Starmer has just stood aside and it was just a few weeks ago that Christopher Luxon's leadership was under the spotlight.

How important is it for them to hold strong what Christopher Luxon did and say, no, I'm not going anywhere for stability and heading into an election?

Yeah, I think what happened with the national situation is that it was almost too late.

You know, you can't do what happened with Labour in 2017 with Andrew Little stepping aside 90 days out from an election every time.
