You might just bump into them somewhere.
I remember there was this guy.
I was so crazy about him.
I'd had this evening with him in a bar where nothing had happened but we'd been flirting, flirting, and I gave him my number.
And in those days someone would call you and if you weren't home, you missed the call.
And my flatmate answered the phone and I wasn't there and I was like –
And what did he say?
What did he sound like?
And how was his tone of voice?
Oh, my God.
And I never did get to go on that date with that guy.
And who knows what life could have been like.
I know.
But all that is so exciting, right?
But the thing that's interesting to me about this is the faux-stalgia of it.
Because...
People have always been nostalgic.
I remember when I was a little kid, I'd ask my mom, do you remember the first time you saw a TV?
Like my grandparents, what was the world like without a TV?
Like you couldn't possibly imagine it.
