It's okay to use those saucepans.
The saucepans don't care.
They don't remember where they were purchased.
They don't have any intrinsic memory in them.
It's up to you whether you want to
Keep those memories where it's just too hard and you want to get rid of them.
But it is okay to keep things.
You don't have to kind of start from scratch, which I know a lot of people are pretty tempted to do.
What I want to encourage you to do as well is have a vision for this new season.
What does this look like?
Were you previously in a home with furniture that didn't quite feel like you or you feel like a new person in this season and you want to go and you want to create colours that you didn't have and get furniture that you didn't have?
Or maybe you don't have any money to do that and you're actually going to go look at op shops and have an eclectic collection of things.
Have a vision for what that is because otherwise sometimes your decisions can be either reactive or
or you can just avoid decisions completely.
But having that vision for what you want your new home to be, what your new life is going to be for the season that you're in, is a really lovely way of doing it.
So I want to encourage you to be really gentle with yourself.
If you've got an ex-partner who you're in communications with and you find something of theirs that you think would be important to them, so long as you are safe, so your safety always comes first, you could send a message or send a message to one of their family members with a photo and say, hey, I found this.
If you'd like and I'm happy to pass it on maybe through a mutual friend or I'm happy to pass it on if you pop over at a certain time and you can pick up your items.
You don't have to be vindictive, right?
You can, you know, if you're going through the unfortunate event of a divorce, how about if you have the capacity to show a bit of grace and understanding for that other person's possessions?
