And then how do I prove that?

So...

I like to say to people, like, put it into this context.

Imagine I'm walking past your desk and I'm, you know, in our imaginary workplace.

Imagine I'm walking past your desk or I say, hey, Owen, I'm getting on a call in five minutes with the big boss.

I want to advocate for you in this new role coming up.

What do you want me to say about you?

And that's all it comes down to.

What do we want said about us when we are not in the room to sponsor or advocate for ourselves for a new gig?

So what does that sound like?

What do you think it sounds like now?

What would you like it to sound like?

So that's the first very simple idea and concept that I want everyone to think about.

And secondly, it's how do we communicate that value?

So this is about communication is, I think, the most underrated piece of leadership.

You know, we are all leaders whether we know it or not.

And when people look to us to lead, they're looking for direction, protection and order, particularly in a chaotic environment.

And part of that is one of the guiding principles of adaptive leadership, and that is communication.
