And I'm not just saying that because I work there now, but I do believe in giving credit where it's due.

So there were absolutely anything they could do for me, they did for me, to facilitate me, even when working from home wasn't a thing, which isn't easy to do in the business that we're in, in radio, you know.

But they did, they facilitated me even working from my old, my own local radio station at home where I actually used to work, one of my first jobs.

in Ocean FM and the guys there and Niall Delaney were brilliant as well and just allowing me the opportunity because I probably... I probably... Everyone needs some kind of an outlet at that time and actually for me the escape was in work.

Great escape for that half an hour every morning from 6 to 6.30 because I was presenting Breakfast Briefing at the time, which was only launched, it only launched actually that May before it had gone to Dad's brain, which is hard to believe.

But I had literally only started presenting the show and then he got really sick.

But I used to get such escapism from being able to hide behind the red light for those few minutes every day, you know.

And I remember like there was...

Time when I wanted to go home and I wanted to be at home more and I wanted to, you know, I wanted to take time off.

And I will never, ever forget one of dad's chemotherapy nurses in Sligo.

I met her one day.

I actually was at home when I'd gone up to collect dad.

I think I went to one of his appointments maybe with him in Sligo when he was just finished the chemotherapy and was talking about would there be more chemo and so on, so on.

And I remember going to the appointment with her and she called me in to her in the consultants, you know, room or whatever.

And she said to me, I want to talk to you, she said, because your dad has told me to talk to you.

And like dad would have been exceptionally against me just taking off work and coming home.

would have been totally against it and we had a couple of rows about it even when he was sick at the time because you know I was like well I want to be at home more and he was like he always said I always remember him saying to me he said he said when you come home and you're at home full time he said I'll know that I have about a month to live

And a part of me was like, well, now I feel I can't go home because I don't want him to think unnecessarily that this is it.

Yeah.
