I mean, he, he was providing a service to the government with, in terms of these rockets that, that, that he thought he could do more cheaply and better than, than, than different companies.
All that's fine.
Right.
I mean, all that's okay.
The problem is a couple of things.
First of all, that you would hope that,
he would have learned from that that that just because the government is spending money, spending the taxpayers money doesn't mean that that that it is spending money wrongly or fraudulently or badly in any way.
I mean, I assume he thinks those were good investments on the government's part.
And the other thing is that that where you really get into trouble is is when he is on both sides of the negotiating table there, right, where he owns these companies that are getting these subsidies and he is cozying up to Donald Trump without divesting from any of it and not only cozying up to Donald Trump, but making all of these
kind of government spending and government oversight and who works for the government decisions himself, right?
That is where the real danger of abuse and corruption comes in because there is nobody to check his work and it's not an adversarial process when it's his companies dealing with his president and his government to strike these deals.
Yeah.
And I guess the best case scenario or the best spin, the most generous spin you could give it is that he's one of these kind of techno futurists who thinks that kind of his value add to society is in driving the ball forward on these self-driving robot cars that are electric powered.
And these these spaceships, they're going to eventually take us to Mars and and
you know, allow us to colonize new places when, when the earth can no longer support the human race or when the sun, that kind of thing.
But it's, I mean, it's, it's, it is not a vision that is shared by a whole lot of people outside of Silicon Valley in terms of what the proper allocation of these resources are not even shared by a lot of wealthy people.
And, and certainly not, not anything that's been arrived at any kind of democratic way.
Yeah, no, we try to keep these things PG, but sometimes you bump into the idea for a headline that you can't tag yourself out of.
