Glenn Youngkin is the governor of Virginia.
Virginia is where I live.
He's my governor.
And Virginia is extremely overrepresented in terms of how many federal workers live there, especially up in kind of the D.C.
suburbs.
But really, all throughout the state, there's just a million government employees in Virginia.
So disproportionately, this kind of like Elon Doge slash and burning is falling on Virginians.
And that is creating a problem for Glenn Youngkin, especially because Glenn Youngkin's path to kind of bringing the Republican Party back in Virginia was.
was in courting a lot of these white collar workers, a lot of these government workers back.
A lot of them were like old Republican voters who became Biden Democrats, who then became Glenn Youngkin Republicans again.
But now they are extremely mad at the Republican government for good reason.
And they are hoping that Glenn Youngkin will stand up for them a little bit.
And instead of doing that,
because you really cannot be an elected Republican right now and argue that Elon Musk is doing anything but great, awesome, needed work.
Youngkin is cheerleading for the Doge effort, the waste, fraud, and abuse, but he is also trying to tell all of these fired federal workers, you know, not to worry.

And then he talks about a lot of the kind of stuff that they're going to put out in terms of resources to help these fired government workers.
It's not that you shouldn't have been fired because you must have been involved in some waste, fraud, and abuse, or Elon wouldn't have fired you.
