It was very strange to see Carolyn Levitt just sort of standing up there with a straight face saying, we, we, the government are taking this power back for the people by taking this power away from, you know, this civic association, the white house correspondence association that exists to bring accountability to the government.
Right.
It only kind of makes sense in this, in this,
worldview that's increasingly common on the right where the biggest kind of like power balance that you need to worry about is not the government against the people it's you know the left against the right or it's the elites against you know the the common people or something like that and that trump is sort of this he he's not he's not the government he's not the guy you need to worry about oppressing you he's like this agent of liberation uh who's kind of grabbed the government on behalf of the common people against the elites so it's kind of a it's it's a very sort of a
alarming development along those lines.

I believe for the second consecutive cabinet, the one black man in there is his secretary of health and sorry, of housing and urban development.
And, you know, a couple of women, a couple of Hispanic men like Marco Rubio.
Let me give a little bit of background on what's going on here, because it's been, you know, Elon has had, you know, many fingers in every pie for weeks now.
Right.
He got into a lot of these agencies even before the cabinet secretaries got into these agencies because he did not have to be confirmed.
And Doge has been basically going place to place, essentially usurping a lot of the authorities for spending and even for personnel that really should belong to those cabinet secretaries.
And this past weekend, a lot of those secretaries were actively pushing back on him for kind of the first time because he sent out that email to the entire federal workforce, basically saying, you know, send me these five bullet points about what you did last week so we know if you're
worth retaining.
And a lot of the secretary said, actually don't respond to that.
We're dealing with this.
You report to us.
Um, so, so that was interesting.
That was kind of all out in the open.
