so yeah it's tough like it's frustrating and so tell me about the suicide attempts then when is the first one after the patch that you weren't sure was there the first time when did you hear about it or what was it yeah so that was the patch and then like my brother would go home I think one time was uh

she he went home to her one day and she was like on her hands and knees like wheezing and coughing because she had taken so many of these cans and he rang an ambulance and she was like no don't ring the ambulance like just I'm nearly there you know like just let me finish myself off and he called the ambulance and when the paramedics came they said that she had like propane burns in her like mouth and down her throat from all these like

chemicals like you know it's just crazy stuff like yeah and then there'd be so many times as well too many times to count we would call the ambulance the ambulance would come and like at in the middle of the night as well because she'd kind of do it like in her bed when she thinks she'd be in the house alone and then someone would call at like 12 o'clock at night just to check on her because we knew what she was doing like she thought she was outsmarting us all but we all knew well what she was doing

and yeah you'd come at night see that she was nearly dead like her she'd be really faint barely able to talk you'd call an ambulance by the time the ambulance comes she's kind of come to paramedics come and they're like can we bring you to hospital and she's like no I don't want to get in the ambulance and then that's it they have to go

But as I said, this is all happening at night.

I'm like... You're in Dublin.

I'm tucked into bed ready for work at 9am.

I'm getting calls off my brother being like, yeah, there's an ambulance on the way.

I remember once, so this was about a week before she died.

I got a call off of...

my brother and I was in this I was volunteering at this kind of camp essentially so I was staying overnight in a week at this place and we weren't allowed to have our phones except for night time I was like one of the kind of leaders so we're allowed to have our phones at night but during the day it was kind of like you know you're doing workshops with the kind of like the kids and stuff and so you're not on your phone but I'm literally asleep it's like 1am my brother rings me and he's like I'm after getting the scariest phone call off of mum Andrew and then

all of a sudden I see that my mum is calling me and then I'm like she's calling me I'll ring you back I'll ring you back and then she's like Andrew I just I love you so much and you were just always like the best child ever and you were you know you were no trouble and you never got into trouble and you were just great and I love you so much and

You know, I'm so sorry.

And I said, mum, mum, please, like, don't, don't kill yourself.

Like, we're calling an ambulance for you.
