And at the time, the commissioner was Amira Joshi, who later went on to become deputy mayor in New York.

The current TLC commissioner is David Doe, who's terrific to work with.

But we went to the commissioner and said, can we get some of the data you have on the taxi market and Uber and Lyft and all of these guys?

And she said, sure.

Just put in a FOIA request and we're happy to answer.

But what are you looking for?

I said, well, all of it.

What do you mean all of it?

I said, everything.

She said, we're asking for all.

So she gave us terabytes and terabytes of data, ride level data, right?

Ride by ride, the entire data set.

It was a lot of data.
