I think they were already leaning conservative, and I don't think that they were Biden voters coming to Trump.

Governor Newsom started a podcast, and I think that he had hoped that this would be a place where people from the right could come on and they could have these freewheeling discussions where they would be able to say maybe bad words and other controversial things and it would be okay.

It's not that Newsome should start a podcast and have these figures on.
It's about Newsome going on others podcasts and trying to win over those voters.
Um, so it's not about giving permission, um, to democratic voters to say bad words.
It's about trying to convince people who feel like they want to say these words, and we keep on saying, you know, who want to be mean for the sake of being mean to find another option that gives them political life and political refuge.
Yeah, I think objectively speaking, I think that Mayor Pete going on the flagrant podcast seemed to be a moment and seemed to be kind of the perfect encapsulation of what Molly was saying of how to go to the other side and try to make really great arguments and win back voters that maybe Democrats had lost.
