plan that this phenomenon if it's observational this is something I talked about on I think it was the Doomer Friday show with the Night Shift crew last week you know would it say then that these are observing a pattern of observation a pattern of interaction a pattern of study where they abduct and check us out
and that perhaps these things are being ticked off and they have observed they have interacted they have had their close encounter experiences they've abducted and studied us to the point where maybe in the late 90s or early 2000s whatever it was they were looking at they went we know enough
whether it was food chain, genetics, whatever it was.
And now we're in this new period of whatever that may be.
Is it a final stage of whatever it is they're looking to do?
Is it a case we have a phenomenon that comes along, checks us out and moves on because maybe it's a scientific study or is it something more?
Probably asking you a ton of different questions or hypotheses there, but I'm curious what your thoughts are.
That's possible.
think it says to me potentially a few things one that the idea of you know when like if you get your kids a puppy and you've got the adult on the couch and you have the puppy out who's this little innocent you know thing and you have a kid of quite a young age and as the adult you have to watch the kid make sure they're treating the puppy okay the kid might be a little bit rough pick it up play with it in a way you wouldn't have we got this
phenomenon that has been here potentially for a long time maybe moved on comes back whatever but almost they're watching and then you have other phenomena that come along which are more like the kids who for a shorter time want to play with us the puppy they want to give us attention they want to prod it poke it you know check it out it's a new thing it's fun it's fluffy you know how does it work it's different to us and then maybe the ones in the
maybe the kids just get bored and move on from the puppy, but you've still got the parents in the background kind of watching?
Is this based on one group of entities though because that would then be that every group of entities feels the same way that they don't want to interact is that then that I hate the phrase prime directive and all that kind of Star Trek talk but is it then that they're told or they decide they're not ready for it because surely if we've got multiple species interacting at least one of them would be more interested in let's
have more of a relationship let's get involved or is it that then more of a communication across the board to be like let's let's not they're not ready i would i'll just say if there's one uh rule that i hope exists it would be the prime directive
is it the equivalent of you know you get these tribes and indigenous folks and jungles around the world and forests and now and again a missionary will approach one of these people who have never seen civilization like we have and they end up getting shot with some kind of poisonous dart because they've tried to infiltrate a society that is just not ready for that kind of outside interaction whereas though let's be fair if that missionary went in with a machine gun
they could literally mow them all down if they wanted because there's only so much that primitive weapons can do against you know that kind of force and that's what we're kind of dealing with where these beings have just went let's stay at a distance let's do what we're doing these folks are just not ready because we are literally at the equivalence of bows and arrows and that really basic learning and thinking still compared to these intelligences whatever they may or may not be
But in the coming couple of years, it's going to be integrated so much into society and systems.
so is there an argument though i was going to say in a more positive light but i don't even know if it's more positive necessarily but with ai coming into play you look at 200 years ago electricity um 100 years ago what nuclear energy atomic energy nuclear weapons and i'm being very vague with the dates here obviously folks in the years and then computing you know maybe 50 years we've had computers around in the form they're in now
20-30 years servers come into play the internet is what it is
Is AI perhaps a point where not only an advanced intelligence monitoring another intelligence goes, ah, this is a checkpoint to see how things go?
Because even though we've had the nuclear energy and atomic energy for a while, we still haven't yet blown ourselves up.
