These people are just crazy.
He calls ufology basically like a cult or a religion that kind of pops up every 10 years and then it's got to be squashed and then 10 years go by and it comes back again.
He's like, this is a thing that happens all the time.

They're all waiting for their big... He really does use that term, religion, to kind of describe it like we're all waiting for that big contact moment.
like the second coming, it's going to be a religion for people who aren't religious, I guess.

The disdain is a big thing for me.

Actually, I think it's authentic that he really hates or doesn't care about the topic on multiple levels.
And he almost has that, oh, UFOs again.
And he had that from the very first time we saw him in the hearing with Gillibrand.

And I think that can be infectious in a bad way for the general public who catch any clips of him because, well, here's this guy who worked in the UFO department because that's the way they'll think about this.
Here's this guy who was investigating it and he doesn't care and thinks there's nothing to it.
So for a lot of folks who read the headlines these days,
they leave at that point because the headline says UFO guy, investigated UFOs, nothing there.
Yeah.
So in a way, he's done his job really successfully keeping this down.
