But I think even to start the game, our guys were a little hyped because of the crowd and weren't able to settle in and play, you know, as comfortably as they have played over the last couple of weeks.
i think you know as an esteemed coach that you were this season sometimes the game comes down to making plays and making shots and i thought in the first half we got some good looks that we didn't make and in the second half we were able to knock down some of those threes which then all of a sudden changed their ability to protect the rim they got more aggressive on shooters that allowed us some driving opportunities and i think that that was really the the impetus of being able to kind of crack the code
On the offensive side, we made some perimeter jump shots.
I think we made seven in the second half.
The first half, I think we only made two.
So all of a sudden, we made a couple of those early in the half.
That opened up the paint.
We were able to drive the ball, score it, finish it, et cetera.
And it was just kind of that balance that was able to be created in the second half offensively.
And I think the challenge is how many high percentage shots can you get?
How many opportunities can you get?
I mean, there's times you'll go back and watch a game and you'll say, I'd live with that shot every day of the week.
And so are we continuing to put good shots at the rim?
high percentage, highly efficient shots at the rim.
And then conversely, are we trying to take those away from our opponent?
I thought we did a good job last night of contesting a lot of their perimeter jump shots.
