Court documents obtained by TMZ, lawyers for Cosby say he should have the right to defend himself against Donna Motzinger's allegations again because the jury awarded her too much money.
She was awarded nearly $60 million in damages for a sexual assault she claimed happened back in 1972 when Cosby reportedly slipped her pills she thought was aspirin, but instead put her in and out of consciousness.
Cosby's team says besides the overinflated damages, they weren't given a chance to cross-examine Watzinger over prior statements and were denied the chance to present evidence about her prior drug use.
