Happy to be elbowing my way in between you
that,
I had a very different path toward this process.
So my piece is really sort of reflections around caring for my mom who died sort of toward the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.
And the influence of my work in hospice and palliative care and sort of the perspective that I brought to my care for her in that time.
And since my mom died in 2020, until I wrote this piece in the fall of last year, I had not...
I had not ever expected or intended to write about my experience.
I, I'm not a writer, I would say.
And it's not some, I'm not someone who journals or, or spends other, does other writing activities.
And so, and, and as I went through my grief process, journaling and writing was not something I did.
It was something I heard could be a good idea, but I really just had no words over time.
And so it was really in the fall of this last year, um, that for no reason,
good, real logical reason.
I just felt myself suddenly feeling compelled to write.
And I, there was a moment in time where I kind of indulged the feeling.
And so I just let whatever that was, these words that were coming to my mind, I kind of just let myself put them to paper, um, and to see what happened.
And honestly, I thought it was going to end up just being
