Even just being aware of those elements, we don't realize that we're distractive or defensive.
And one of the things that you talked about in the idea of defensiveness is almost like we're giving somebody permission to alter our identity that they don't necessarily have.
And so I'd love just to talk a little bit about why
Defensiveness comes into play as a wall that we put between us and the people we care about because we feel like our identity is.
