State welfare agencies, they're not tasked with ending poverty.

They are not required, nor do they have the budget, to actually get benefits to everybody.

And so then you tend to see in these parts of the government that don't have that service orientation, right?

Like,

They very often have high overhead and are bureaucratically jumbled up themselves.

And often the civil servants within those organizations, they're subject matter experts.

They would love to make their programs better.

They would love to serve their fellow citizens and residents of where they are.

And they're not allowed to.

Because instead they get tasked with like taking off boxes and running silly fraud screens that don't actually scrutiness for fraud.

And it's really frustrating for them.

For that.

If you talk to a postal worker, your postal worker, your letter carrier, or if you talk to somebody in Social Security, they really feel

like a vow, right?

Like they it's really important to them that they do what they do.

And I think having that service orientation is a really good thing.
