She was already very stressed out given her income.
She makes like less than $30,000 a year, right?
And she ended up getting kicked off of and readmitted to one program or another.
The current count is more than 120 times.
Oh my God.
Wow.
And it's just so stressful.
So stressful.
And notably, she's never had any interaction with a criminal justice system.
This was not a crime.
Who among us has not screwed something up on our taxes?
Right.
Especially when you're filling out so many forms.
Exactly.
Like while I was writing the book, I was in some dispute over.
the the IRS the great irony of the book is that I am terrible personally at paperwork and I'd sent a check in as a tax payment but I didn't write the tax year to apply it to.
And it just took forever to sort out and I ended up paying some small penalty, even though they owed me money back, which was kind of crazy.
And anyway, so yeah, the point is, you know, just for what?
