So I think that that's one thing that can help Caleb Malhotra and Malhotra can take it like, you know, we see what Matthew Schaefer has been doing on and off the ice.
And I feel like Caleb Malhotra has that in terms of he can be a franchise piece for you.
and not have any issues in the locker room, be a great teammate, be somebody that does well and is going to be a media darling because he really is funny too.
I had him on my show, and he said an actor that he'd want to play in a movie of him would be The Rock because he feels like they look exactly the same, and that was just funny.
So he is a very funny and personable guy.
I think that it's not going to really be an issue.
Yeah, I think when...
When NHL teams are really starting to understand the year-over-year progressions of a player, especially in their draft season, and the inflection point that Caleb Malhotra has had in his career, especially his performance, his production, and the development in his game, I think that it's a slam dunk that if he has another one of these, he could be a superstar center in the league.
I think at this point he has shown that he can be, you know, a one C with above average to see potential at this point.
But what happens if he grows more in terms of his game, in terms of his offensive skillset, he already has an NHL ready shot.
You know, he, uh,
good defensively.
He's always willing to sacrifice his body on the line for his team.
He sacrificed points in the OHL this year as a young player when you don't normally see that.
He was the play driver on his line when Merrick Van Acker and Adam Nock were playing up with Jake O'Brien, who's one of the best, if not the best, OHL player in the league right now.
So in terms of what Caleb Malhotra has shown and what he had to do this season, it's just been
like amazing and astronomical the type of rise that he's had since being a second late second round pick in summer scouting and you know I think it's something that we're going to continue to see as development increases and there's more money going into development as the trickle-down effect happens with hockey especially with those you know expansion teams on the rise we're going to see more players that are drafted out of a draft or in their draft year that are going to get
more attention as well as more playing time in the NHL and the chance to play 200 games in the NHL because there's more, I guess, just...
quality of development.
