Blue Jays will kind of play that by ear, and it'll depend a lot just on how Scherzer feels coming out of the start because...

We're talking about multiple injuries here, forearm, thumb, and ankle.

So you really want him to be feeling physically sound.

But of course, the push-pull there is that the results prior to him going on the IL weren't spectacular either.

So you're going to want him to be effective and getting his pitches where he needs them, locating well, missing bats, doing all the things that make Max Scherzer Max Scherzer.

And then with B...

We're like, we're not going to see him until the end of June.

Like he's in the middle of like a spring training ramp up right now.

So I think he's got at least three more minor league outings before he's getting activated.

There is like a ticking clock on it.

There is 30 days, but I expect the Blue Jays will take most, if not all of those 30 days to get him up to speed.

I would think end of next week is pretty realistic.

He's going to catch today and then have an off day on Friday.

At least this was the schedule going into this week.

And then he'll be back in Dunnegan's lineup on the weekend and then he'll shift up to Buffalo.

So Buffalo will be off on Monday.

So like say he gets into Buffalo's lineup on Tuesday and Wednesday, say all goes well, then he takes the Thursday off day and he's back for the Yankees series next weekend.

I think that's pretty realistic if all goes well.

The big thing, like if you see Alejandro Kirk catch on back-to-back days, you know that his return is imminent.

And it might literally be after that second back-to-back day.
