I think for young people, especially there is this idea that you're supposed to have a wonderful life that you enjoy all the time.
And it's something I say constantly, whether it's in life or in jobs, like I'm very lucky to have a life and a job that I love.
All that came at a cost.
All that came through really hard work to make it that way.
But also I never signed a contract.
that said, I hereby declare that my job will always be fun, it will always provide great value to the world and I will always feel like I'm in my flow state, sign A London.
What is that idea that we're supposed to like be so optimised and so in our flow and like so creating work that has value and meaning?
No, that's stressing us all out.
Sometimes you can just try to exist in the world.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
Sometimes you'll have a period where the best you can do is like get food on the table or show up to work and give 70%.
And I think we need to like normalize that shit because I think we're creating a generation of people who their expectations of themselves is too high and their own lives is too high.
And they look at their life and they can't see the magic in it.
They can't see the joy in it because they're
their expectation is so different.
I have just created a real sense of gratitude in my life.
And I know it sounds like, it sounds ridiculous, but it's come with practice.
And now I see it reflected in Buddy because he picks up on it where so often he looks around, how lucky are we?
I love my life.
