I clean.
He's steady.
I'm pretty dramatic.
And he was the saver and I was the spender.
So it made sense then that he would handle what little money that we had.
And we were the definition of paycheck to paycheck.
There was no saving for true expenses.
So every little thing was this huge ordeal.
And I just remember there were times when I would be like, I'm going to get my act together.
And he would bring out the dreaded spreadsheet.
Right.
When you're the spender and the spreadsheet comes out, you always feel like you're on trial.
Right.
Yeah.
And I tried a couple times apps like Schmint and Each Penny and...
I would use them for a while, but it would just be a couple weeks before.
That first mess up, and I would think... It's over.
It's over, absolutely.
I just had this deep belief that I was bad at money, and every single time one of those mess ups happened, it was like I was proving it to myself again and again.
