And it got sent to him.

I was like, oh, no.

I thought I could do this.

And he gave me this task to take on, and I've already messed it up.

And I was so mad at myself, and I thought...

Maybe if I have a pretty app that would help me organize things like this would never happen again.

And so that thought led me to searching for YNAB.

And I did wonder, is this going to be something else that I pay for and then fall off of?

But there is one thing I do love and do feel good at, and that's reading.

So I saw that YNAB had a book.

bought the book, read it cover to cover, downloaded the audio book, had Jesse read the book to me cover to cover on my commute to work.

And then when I was at work, I started using my lunch breaks and I started taking workshops with Dave.

So even before I started my trial, I had these voices in my head that were teaching me that money was more than just a task to take off of Jeremy's plate.

It was more than something that I didn't trust myself around.

It was possibility.

It was some way that I could build the life that we wanted.

So that was June.

And so July 1st, 2018, I started my first YNAB plan and...

I would not shut up about it.

And I think everyone in my life thought it was a phase that would eventually go away.
