This is why, you know, in the Quran, the Torah, the Bible, there's all this thing about breaking bread.

But for me, that is so important.

It's not about peace.

It's that shared moment.

When I break bread with you and you,

We have had a shared moment.

We've all had our different journeys coming to this table.

When we eat the same thing, we talk about what connects us.

You might tell me about the bread you ate, or you tell me about something that you ate.

And then we all realize there is more that connects us than divides us.

Food is the greatest way to connect people.

And as an immigrant, as a Muslim living in England,

I built a successful restaurant.

And I always say, I could only have done it in London where people are open-hearted.

I managed to kind of build a business, an immigrant business with an all-immigrant female kitchen.

And we have been embraced.

I don't know many other cities where I could have done it.

I haven't tried anywhere else.
