And so then I just started imagining what their worst case scenario could possibly look like.

And, and that that's it for sure.

So aside from killing off one of them, this was kind of the worst thing that I could imagine doing to them.

sort of drive these two apart and have to force them back together was when it was something like this because if there was some big external conflict I just imagine that bringing them closer together rather than driving them apart because they've already been through so much as a couple like when she first moves to the ranch it's to be the nurse for his dying mother so they've already been through all of that they've

been raising two kids together.

They've seen so much change on the ranch over the last 16 years that it's like it was going to take something totally out of their control and something that's going to mess one of them up internally, mess one of their heads up basically.

So yeah, so that's kind of what I did.

And then I spent so much time reading firsthand accounts for

from people with TBIs and the way they feel about their family, even if they don't have amnesia, it can change so much because the TBI affects everything about who you are as a person.

And so there's just so many stories of people feeling really disconnected from their family or they lash out at their family because they can't control their temper anymore and like all of those things.

And so I just said, this seems perfect.

Let's throw that into the book.

Yeah.

And he has to deal with that a lot.

Not even just his relationship, but like before the accident, he's a horse trainer and now he obviously isn't capable of doing that anymore.

And so it's sort of figuring out where he fits with his brothers now.
